Your action scenes are so cinematic. Can you break down how you write one? Do you visualize all the action first in your mind? Action scenes are very hard. There are always multiple people with different weapons and powers. But then I also need to know what the resolution of the scene is going to be: Who wins? Who gets injured? And usually by the end of creating that loose outline, I will then be able to visualize it in my own head.

I remember at one point having this thought like, how lucky we are to live at a time in a society when so many more people are able to give loving, protective, stable homes to these children, when not that long ago these couples would not have been able to do that, and the children would have been stuck in foster care.
That just meant something to me at the time, and I think played a part in choosing this story for Adrian. Is Renegades the start of a series? This book has had a complicated path.
